Did you watch ‘The Apprentice’ on 30 April? Did you witness some of the (supposedly) best business people in the country waste 3 hours dithering on where to put the apostrophe ‘s’ in ‘National Singles’ Day’?
Michael Sophocles, (MA Hons) History and Classics, and his colleagues would not have wasted those precious hours if he had been on an Intouch Language Training Business Writing Skills course, which is designed to avoid situations like this one ever occurring. I wonder how much time is wasted and how many millions of pounds are lost due to poor grammar skills?
Good language skills are often overlooked but the apostrophe ‘s’ incident clearly demonstrates the importance of knowing basic grammar rules which even the most experienced business person can lack ( I wonder if Sir Alan knew where to put the ‘s’?).
At Intouch we have English language experts at hand who can deliver essential writing skills courses which will immediately give your staff the skills they need to use English properly and effectively. Staff with good language skills perform better and save you money!
